Andy Goldwasser – Chair of Ciano & Goldwasser’s Personal Injury Practice Group – recently settled a case for more than $1-Million Dollars on behalf of an individual seriously injured in a truck accident.  The case involved a 52-year old truck driver whose tractor was hit head-on by another semi.  As a result of the collision, Ciano & Goldwasser’s client suffered a traumatic brain injury.  After months of negotiations and hard-fought litigation, the Defendant truck company paid its insurance policy limits and made a personal contribution to Ciano & Goldwasser’s client. 

As part of the settlement, Andy Goldwasser also negotiated a resolution with the client’s workers’ compensation carrier, who is claiming reimbursement for more than $500,000 in paid expenses.  Mr. Goldwasser negotiated a resolution of this claim whereby less than one-fifth of the medical bills were paid back to the carrier.
