Phillip Ciano - - head of Ciano & Goldwasser�s Complex/Commercial Litigation Practice Group - - successfully represented a trust out of Chicago, Illinois in a complex commercial real estate dispute in Lorain and Cuyahoga County, Ohio Common Pleas Court.  At issue was the validity of the Trust�s encumbrance of certain Lorain and Cuyahoga County developments that were subject to certain mortgages held by First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Lakewood and Fifth Third Bank.  After months of complex parallel litigation, Mr. Ciano was able to obtain a significant monetary settlement on behalf of the Trust, and further preserve the corpus of the Trust for the out-of-state Trustee and Cleveland-area beneficiaries.
